Spurs success in the playoffs

They
haven't won consecutive championships, and their last one was all the
way back in 2007. Still the San Antonio Spurs are putting together a
postseason for the ages, and proving that they might just be the best
dynasty in modern sports.
Better than the Lakers, who have also won a few championships in the
same time span, better than the Patriots, better than the Yankees. This
Spurs team has been dominant for almost a decade and a half. Since
Duncan's arrival, they've won 50+ games every year, except for 1998-99,
when they won 37 in a 50-game lockout-shortened season. Although Duncan,
Popovich and company have consistently gotten a bad rap as a "boring"
team, Slate's Matthew Yglesias points out that it's simply no longer
true, and that's just a lazy, hypocritical assumption at this point.
With players like Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Kawhi Leonard and others,
the Spurs push the pace as well as anyone in the league.

Also they're 2nd
this year in points per game. Vamsee and Patrick think there a overrated
team. Nick thinks there under and Jacob thinks their even. On
5/29/12, they dropped 120 on the Thunder, a team who is far more well
known for high-paced scoring. Before the start of Game 2 of the Western
Conference finals here at AT&T Center, Oklahoma City coach Scott
Brooks spoke some words of praise about his team’s opponent, the Spurs,
who entered Tuesday’s matchup with a 19-game winning streak dating back
to April 12 and a 1-0 lead in the series. “It’s not like teams are
trying to give them wins,” Brooks said. “We’re all trying to beat them.
We’re trying to figure out ways to beat them. They’ve got a great inside
player, smart, selfless, a protector at the basket. They’ve got an
incredible number of 40-percent 3-point shooters, all throughout the
team. They’ve got two of the best penetrating guards in the league.
They’re a great team. It’s not a good team, it’s a great team.”
