Groom Alleged to Have Stabbed and Killed Young Fiancée

 She lay in the bathtub, drenched in her own blood.

            A young bride was allegedly stabbed by her groom within just two days after getting married in Burbank, Illinois. A 30 year old groom, Arnoldo Jimenez killed his new bride Estrella Carrera. They had just finished celebrating at an after-wedding party with their friends and returned to their apartment. Then Arnoldo Jimenez is alleged to have come into their bathroom where Estrella Carrera was and began stabbing her multiple times. She was found in the bathtub wearing her sparkly and sequined wedding dress which was now, covered with blood.
             Jimenez is known to have a short temper and to be very controlling. He is the complete opposite of Estrella who was known to be a nice, kind person. She was quiet and she kept a lot of things to herself. Her cousin said that Estella was a great mother. This marriage was obviously not meant to be, but did Arnoldo Jimenez murder Estrella Carrera?
Estrella Carrera had two children, one was two years old and the other was eight years old. She was supposed to pick up her children that day and when she didn’t, her family tried calling her. They tried every possible way they knew to contact her, but were unable to find her anywhere. After exhausting all options to finder her they called the police and the police investigated Estrella’s apartment and found her in the bathtub, drenched in her own blood.

            At this time the police do not have any proof that Arnoldo Jimenez killed his wife, but he is a prime suspect. Four out of every five seventh graders interviewed think that Arnoldo is the murderer. If Arnoldo really did kill Estrella, why did he do it?
            There are many theories as to why Arnoldo Jimenez killed his bride but no one really knows why he did it. A boy by the name of Casey Butz thought,” He was probably drunk from after wedding party.” This theory could very well be true, but another boy named Jonathan Gordon had a different theory, Jonathan Gordon said, “He might have had some sort of mental disease.” There is also a theory that the wife wanted a divorce as soon as they got married or the groom wanted something, but the wife wouldn’t give it to him. The couple had a short lived marriage and a marriage that was obviously not meant to be. There are many theories as to why Arnoldo killed his wife, but we will not know until Arnoldo is caught by the police and “spills the beans” about the entire event or the case is heard by a judge and jury.

As of now Arnoldo Jimenez is a fugitive. It is thought that after Arnoldo killed his wife, he quickly fled the scene in his 2006 Maserati sedan. The car is estimated to be worth around $50,000 to $60,000. Police are asking that anyone who sees the car or has any other clues to please contact them or call 911.  Arnoldo is considered to be a very dangerous criminal.
